Karl-Johan Emanuel (Manne) Idestrom is a

gifted musician and is the founder and

director of Jubilance Ministries Inc.  Manne

is a talented composer and arranger of

sacred music and has been directing

Jubilance Singers & Orchestra since 1982.

He has taken the choir and orchestra on

many mission tours to 50 countries worldwide.

 

Born in Sweden, Manne took his music

degree when he was 15 being the youngest

graduate in Sweden.  He married Gunvor in

1960 and they had three children:  Rebecca,

Niclas and Henric.  Gunvor battled cancer for

over two years and went to be with the Lord

in 1992.  Manne married Yvette in 1999 and

they had a son Zachariah.  Yvette also battled cancer and went to be with the Lord in 2004.  Manne married his pianist Lois in December 2006 and together they are serving the Lord through music.

 

At his father's urging, Manne went to architectural school and a private business college and later had a successful furniture manufacturing business in Sweden.  The business was sold in 1973 and the family moved to Canada and started up a furniture business in Kingston, Ontario.  After eight successful years, there was a recession and the business went bankrupt.  Many opportunities were offered to become involved in music ministry but God did not have first place and Manne did not listen and pray.  Miraculously the Lord opened an opportunity for music ministry in churches and Jubilance was formed in 1982.  In 1992 Manne took a step of faith and went full-time with Jubilance Singers & Orchestra and today is still ministering and blessing people throughout the world through music!

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord – I will be joyful in God my Saviour!
