Haiti

Last August 2009 we felt the Lord leading Jubilance to Haiti for our summer tour. At that time we realized how much Haiti needed help more than other countries due to the lack of infrastructure and the poverty! We were very saddened to hear about this earthquake – especially when we personally saw and heard Christians praying on their knees at 4:30 in the morning. We were also taken back by the number of people, old and young including children, who came out during the week to worship the Lord! The Haitian Christians put us to shame!!!

Since coming home from Haiti, we have been asking ourselves if there would be a way to financially open and support Christian schools in Haiti. After the events of this week there is even a greater need for support.

At the moment there is nothing we can do for the schools until the “dust” has settled. We spoke by phone to a missionary in DR who informed us that no one can get into Haiti unless special permission is granted. We need to be able to make contact with the people in Haiti as soon as communication is back in order.

Jubilance Ministries Inc. opened a special bank account under the name of JMI Haiti. We have already received monies for Haiti. Funds will be released to churches/schools as soon as we can establish contacts.
